    Tall, Dark & Smooooooth!!!

    The Monkey is here

I found a Surly Karate Monkey on ebay and put in my bid...AND I WON!!! and now he is here It is more than i imagined...i have been riding it around the yard making my own singletrack hehe! I got to be a commuter but it is already proving to be more...my rear shock on my precious Julianna blew so i have to send it back...soooooo i just swapped the touring tires/wheels with the knobbies and presto a rigid mtbike someday i hope to get a set of 29ers to try out on the Monkey...although the day i do i can just see it now...up goes the seat and the fiancee is riding it he has been riding it around INSIDE the house...haha are we the only ones with tire marks on the carpet? or are there others out there just as guilty???

Anyway...it looks so masculine (campstove green) pretty!!! don't get me wrong but it needs some feminizing...got the pink seat going on it (swapping the road bike pink butterfly, the roadie is getting a new saddle) plan on getting a pink water bottle cage...because it will be a commuter and locked in various locations maybe i will not be going with the Chris King pink headset (as much as i want to they are just too $$$$$$) it has grip shifters so bartape is out or the question...any other pink ideas ladies????
although...the more i think about it maybe a girl riding it is all it needs...

    can i say that???

That's a nice looking bike. I hope he lets you get away with a pink saddle- seems more like the black or red type to me! Yup, I think I'd go with a red saddle and red or red/black tires.

Hey Bouncy, glad you like your Surly.
You can try Terry bicycles, she has a whole section on Pink stuff.
Also Speedgoat has pink Oury grips for Mtbs.
    Good luck and enjoy.
