    Indoor trainer tire squeakage!

Hi girls, so in the wake of Sandy and not being able to leave my apartment I put my bike on my trainer. For some reason my rear tire is so squeaky! I cleaned the fly wheel with acetone and also cleaned off the tire. Still annoyingly squeaky. Any suggestions?

Is it slipping? Maybe increase the pressure against the flywheel roller...?

I adjusted it tighter but it is still pretty squeaky?

If you're sure it's not slipping, I'd just ride it. In my experience, sometimes that just happens, and it tends to go away pretty fast. Of course, YMMV.

Some tires are just soft (the rubber, not the pressure) and noisy like that. Ultimately, I bought a trainer tire just because of the noise.

Do you have enough air in your tire? It's ok for it to squeak. Just be sure you have the tire clamped tightly to the trainer's resistance.
