The "unload Spazz party" takes form

OK grrls... here's the scoop this is it:

The movers hit Spazz east coast dog house on Feb 4 to arrive west coast dog house somewhere between Feb10 - Feb16. The "unload party" may have to be flexible. My understanding is the truck arrives, parks, we have 4 hours to offload the contents while driver sleeps in the cab. As soon as we're done they head off to the next delivery.

Editors note: as of right now I have the 17th off work, note to Spazz will the date get more specific as it gets closer?

I work weekdays but once a date is established I could probably trade and have the day off easily enough.

Spazz and Quids actual flight is out of Boston on Weds Feb 8.

I live in Oakland very close to Piedmont Ave. and would be happy to help unload. I have the training ride on the 11th; but, as of now, the rest of the week is free. I don't work so weekdays are okay. Just let me know when the day is set.

How is Spazz (where are you, my dear)getting here? Car, plane?

Might be a last minute deal, so when closer just let me know so I can meet you somewhere for the food part!

I have to arrange transportation from home, so I'll need a day's notice si vous plais!

    Bike Goddess asks

"How is Spazz (where are you, my dear)getting here? Car, plane?"

Spazzdog and Quidich dog (actual dog) fly in on the 8th. Arrangements are in place with a couple of her old running buddies for their ride from the airport to the apartment. So far looks like that's all taken care of.

"Might be a last minute deal, so when closer just let me know so I can meet you somewhere for the food part! "

So far it looks like the actual date and time she would have at least 24 hour notice. The truck drives across country and makes stops along the way so it's hard to pin down exactly at this point. Watch this space for further last minute details from Spazz. Or one could call or e-mail her if you wanna be notified.

Sounds like one option is unload with however many or few are available for this form of cross training, pizza and beer...then hold a seperate party later on on a weekend.

"I have to arrange transportation from home, so I'll need a day's notice si vous plais! "

You shall have it!! She should get at least a day

    Hi grrls...

I'm not going to be able to post a definite unload time until the truck guy calls me, abt 24 hr notice. So whoever can be available on 24 hr notice btn Feb 10-16, zip me a PM.

Helga you're on... it might end up being just us unemployed folks (hope you're strong like a "Helga" should be )

Should it end up hardly anyone can come, we'll post a date for a later "come see spazz's doghouse gathering", Like after I unpack, hang pictures, etc.

I'm not online much right now, but Trek420 will post in my absence if there's any further news if I can't get to a pc.

    Thanks everyone!

Spazz & Quidditch may need a ride...

My friends out there have a scheduling conflict and may not be able to pick me and the pooch up at SFO (SanFran Int'l).

Is there anyone out there that has a 'mommy" van or SUV that could do an airport run on Feb 8th mid day? I will gladly pay tolls/gas, etc.

If yes, please PM me. Quid will be crated in your vehicle so no doggie hair or post-flight accidents.

    Thanks grrls!

Spazz, I hope the moving is going ok. I don't have a car and no easy way up there or I'd come. Of course I coudln't help move things due to the ribs. Neil needs the car since he'll be visiting his father. We were at the hospital for about 5 or 6 hours yesterday visiting with him. He's got many clots in his legs and it's severely swollen.

I'm telling you, when it rains it pours. *sigh*

Mell, sorry to hear about Neils Dad. And...what's wrong with the ribs??

Anyway, Spazz and Quid are unloaded, she hired two guys, and we were joined by Kelly (my friend Theresa's neighbor).

You should have seen Spazz back her Jeep down the ramp off the truck. You should have seen it because I didn't, I was too scared to watch.

    But she stuck the landing.

Thanks Trek. We're worried about him but he's a trooper so far. He seems to be completely at ease. However, Neil's mother on the other hand is falling apart but it's something we expected. She doesn't deal with stress well any more.

As for my ribs, I crashed on the bike for the first time last saturday. Bruised ribs. :/

Of course she stuck the landing. She's Texan. We're good at handlin' big ol' trucks.

I'm glad everything got moved successfully.
