    Big changes in fit!

Went in to a bike shop today for a fancy fit (3d motion capture, video, power meter, etc) and she changed my bike set up a LOT. I'm excited at the possibility of less pain but nervous about going out to ride tomorrow in such a different position. The fit was a present from my parents, but I also ended up buying a new saddle. She also switched out my stem, but swapped it for another in the shop at no charge.

I'll report back tomorrow with the low down!

My advice is to keep your next few rides on the shorter side so that you give your body time to adjust to the changes. Even positive changes take some getting used to when it comes to fit.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

Thanks Indy! I had been toying with the idea of skipping the 50 mile group ride tomorrow and sticking to ~30 close to home. This seals it. I don't want to spend the first day with the new fit hating my bike.

Did an easy 30 miles this morning and am in love with all the changes that were made! The new saddle and stem worked wonders! My hips don't rock anymore and my shoulders aren't sore!

That's awesome! So glad for you the new fit is working out well.

My fiirst road bike was an ill sized fitting mess that caused me both a lot of physical and financial pain. The only good that came of it was that I found TE (looking for help).

Wishing you many happy and safe miles. A well fitting bicycle is like having a piece of cycling heaven.
