    Garmin 910

My 305 died while mountain biking in CO. My new 910 will be here tomorrow.

Has anyone actually done a race with theirs? I read a review on Amazon in which the guy says he lost his on the swim. Maybe I've been really lucky, but I have yet to have the rough swim where I get kicked or pummeled in any way. Could be my strategy of just staying away from everyone! Anyway... I'd hate to have it come off my wrist and sink to the bottom.

From the thread on Beginner Triathlete, it sounds like there's a problem with the quick release. I suspect if you left it on the original strap, it would be fine. However, the quick release (to let you mount it on your bike from wrist) sounds like it's a bad design.

Thanks for the link. Seems like NOT swimming with it and the QR could be a good idea.

I got mine in May and have raced one tri with it. I had no problems at all. I always hear horror stories about people losing their 310's and I raced with that many times without problem.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

I don't know what the "quick release" is, but I've had no problems with mine in that regard. Have done multiple races with it.
