    C25K Program or ???

I just started back up jogging. I'm thinking about the C25K program, has anyone used this? I've read some reviews on other sites and looks like some people have to repeat parts of it, but then I've read where its geared toward people who have zero running experience. I'd appreciate your advice or suggestions on another program. Thank you

I used it and made myself follow it religiously. The beginning was a bit easy, but it allowed me to build up to a faster speed than I've ever achieved. I skipped one of the weeks near the end, as I knew I could run 3 miles.
My running is over for the season, so I can concentrate on cycling, but I will probably use some modified form of it again in the fall, like maybe starting at week 5.

Thank you. I'm going to give it a try. I like that there's an app for it but I'm not fond of using headphones

It is a fairly gentle introduction into running. I use it (or a variation) when I return to running from injury or long layoff. Happy trails!

I have many friends who have used it, enjoyed it, and saw success from it.

    C25k w1d1

Well I started the C25K program. I've completed W1D1 - not a big accomplishment yet. One step at a time, right? I even wore my Road ID. So far I like the Iphone App. I'm 'old school' and don't care much for listening to music, etc...using headphones.

Yep! That's the only way to get anywhere.

I used the C25K app and really liked it. Then used the Bridge to 10K. I went from having never run more than a mile (and not that since high school) to running a half marathon in a year.

    I am a big fan.

When I started in Feb this year I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without almost fainting. I did the c25k program and have since done 6 5k's and am trying to train for a half in sept. it worked wonders for me. Now if I could just get these darned shin splints to leave me alone...

Dani, glad to hear 'positives' about the program. I will be starting W4D1 tomorrow, I was on vacation for almost a week and didn't do much, except finish W3. Shin Splints are nasty, hope you get rid of them.

    Hey Surgtech!

I will finish Week 2 tomorrow. I'm doing it with a few co workers and we seem to really like it so far... I've never been a runner but always wanted to be

I'm allowing myself to repeat weeks if necessary. I have committed to a Turkey Trot with DH, so I've definitely got time...

    Good luck!
