Registration is open for two great rides in Maryland in early September -- the Civil War Century on Sept 8, 2012 and the Southern Maryland Fall Century on Sept 9.

Early-bird registration for this ride costs $20 and after that the cost is $30. (I noticed a date discrepancy online for the early-bird deadline, so I checked with someone at the club and will post it when I hear back from him.)

I will be doing the metric version of the CWC and then will be volunteering at the Southern Maryland century. Which means a full weekend of locally-grown tomato sandwiches for me!!

p.s. This is me riding the Southern Maryland metric in 2009.

These sound lovely. If I was closer, I would come. I don't have a bike rack for my vehicle yet.

I'm hoping to do my first tour this fall on the Eastern Shore, in the 20-30 mile range.

If anyone was thinking of doing the Southern Maryland Century on Sept 9, Wednesday, August 15 is the last day for early registration @ $20. From Thursday, August 16 to September 7, registration is $30, and it's $40 on the day of the ride.
