    Wink Just A General Question

    Hi There,

Just wanted some thoughts from other female cyclists about male cyclists who shave their legs. I find it rather sexy if the guy has sexy legs but not so much if he has bird legs. Any thoughts on the subject.

    Thanks

My partner and sons wont, and my partner has the rep of having the second hariest legs at Ramblers (the local club)

My partner wants a medal at next years national competitions and reckons if there is some research showing that shaving legs will improve his time in a TT, he will shave.

I'd quite like him to shave from the perspective of his massuese, because it would be easier to massage his calves and thighs.

Any research out there anyone knows of?

(He def has "sexy" not "bird"

It depends on the guy. I think some of them look stupid with shaved legs especially when they aren't all that good. But some look really good that way. Of the three guys on my team one shaves and the other two don't. The guy who shaves is the slowest, so much for making people faster. The other two are really fast guys. One has thin muscular legs while the other guy has bigger and more muscular legs. I think that for most men it is a status symbol that says to others hey I race bikes. Even though he may be last in every race.

I think shaved legs on men is HOT!!! I could never go back to a hairy guy. Shave their arms, legs, back, clip everything else really short- that's perfect. BF says if he wins the lottery he's getting laser hair removal.

Even if it doesn't make 'em faster, it makes road rash easier to clean up!

My boyfriend gets red spots all over the place. I don't know if he'll do it again anytime soon. But he's going from "chicken" to "sexy" legs

When my son raced, he shaved his legs. I don't know if his times got faster, but everyone on the team did it, so he did. He got really good at shaving. I thought it took a lot of self esteem for a 15 year old to do this.
I can't get used to him with hairy legs now.

Men who aren't hairy... are nice. I dated a guy with shaved legs once. I liked it!

I have to say it bothers me when a guy out girls me (nicer hair, nicer legs, etc), but I do like hairless cyclists legs.

Once mechanic at the LBS keeps his legs more hairless than I do!!! I would ask him how he does it, but that's just too weird. After a couple months of riding with this team, I think I could ID most of the guys from a picture of their legs/rear end, but wouldn't recognize them in the grocery store without a helmet on!

    Cool

I ride with 42 guys & I love the shaved legs. Guys muscle up better than us & you can see every ropey tendon in some of them...very virile looking. They don't all do it & somehow the ones who don't look messy (& feral). Isn't it meant to be better incase of a dreaded abrasion? Helps stop bacteria entering the wound or something. Mind you, most of the negative comments about shaved legs come from other guys. Could be jealousy, you know.

Twenty five years ago I was at a race and saw this really cute guy there with nice clean shaven legs. I just had to find out why there was no hair on his legs and mustered up the courage to go and talk to him. He told me that it hurts less if they have to put stiches in your leg, if you don't have any hair.
I thought his response made sense, and he seemed like a really nice guy, so I accepted a dinner invitation from him...then married him!! I have this really neat picture of him, our son, and I with our legs up on the edge of the tub shaving our legs. If my daughter was in it I would have used it for a Christmas card!!
