On my run this morning, I encountered this porta-potty parked in the bike lane!! I went back later on my bike, with camera, took plently of pictures, then pedalled on down to the police headquarters.... Luckily, it was one of our bike-mounted officers working the desk, and he was very sympathetic. His sergeant wasn't, but did promise to send someone out there to tell the construction workers that they can't park there, and that they needed to move the porta-potty. Fingers crossed!

Were they also going to tell them that vehicles cannot park there?

    Way to go.

Good for you for making a move, as so many others might just let someone else do it.

...for all the good it's done. When I went through there this morning on my way home from the farmer's market, there were no construction worker's cars parked in the bike lane. Of course, it's Saturday and they weren't working on the house. Porta-potty's still in place, too. And there was a car parked in the bike lane on the other side of the street.

Anyone know how much a porta-potty weighs? How big a crew would I need to pick it up and move it? There are 4 or 5 biking friends who would be willing to lend a hand... but we'll give it a few more days...

4 or 5 can move it. But don't let it tip over.

Maybe they couldn't get a truck out there to get it on late notice Friday or on a Saturday? Lame excuse, I know, but it might go away on Monday. Or, not ...
