I am in Iowa right now. Doing a sculpture at the State Fair. Best fair in the US I think. Well when we got here I saw two baby kitties in the parking lot of our hotel digging in a Wendy's bag. Just broke my heart.
A calico tabby and a siemese about 3 months old maybe younger. Well lucky for me and them I have a friend here who knows a rescue group. Within 4 days these cute little bugger's were safe and sound. I am so happy I was able to save them from a life of living in a hotel parking lot.
The people who trapped them said it was easy. They were so hungry it didn't take long. And it looked like they had not been on their own for very long cause they were very clean. But someone had dumped them. I can't understand how someone could do that.
Last report they are finally relaxing and have started to purr. The calico/tabby is warming up faster but they think the siemese will come around soon. So happy. And there was an awful rain storm yesterday. So glad they didn't have to go through that!

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Such pretty babies! Thank you for helping them find the happy, comfy, safe life they deserve. I'm sure they will make wonderful furbabies for someone. We've never had a stray who didn't end up being a perfect addition to our family.
I am just glad that I was able to help them. It is not always possible. It feels really good when you can though! If anyone lives near des Moines and needs a new friend I know where you can find 2!

I'm glad you agree the Iowa State Fair is the best and if I had room for another kitty I'd be down there in a heartbeat. They're so cute I'm sure they'll find a good home. Thanks to you for rescuing them.

How wonderful you took those fur babies in! I'm sure they will have a wonderful life full of happiness and love. A pox on those who dumped those kitties.
