Road bike rental in Salt Lake City?

This may be a total long shot, but is anyone on here from Salt Lake City? I'm heading that way this weekend for my dear friend's wedding, but I've got lot of time in the mornings to kill on Saturday and Sunday and I would like to ride around the city a bit (considering moving there in the spring).

I know places rent mountain bikes there but I was unsure if anyone knew of a LBS where I could take out a road bike for a few hours. Other than saying I'm looking to buy and asking if I can "really test" the bike and take it for a 40 mile spin.

    Thanks!

Where will you be staying? Downtown? East side? West side?

    Here you go:

    And another one:

I understand Cyclesmith rents bikes, although it is not on their website.

I'll be downtown, but I have time to drive around if it means I can get my seat in a saddle!

I live in SLC! I've never looked into rentals, but I did a bit of searching online.

Taylor's bike shop looks to do road bike rentals at their riverton location. This is the south end of the valley, so it may be too much of a drive depending on your time schedule. http://taylorsbikeshop.com/

Canyon sports says they have the largest road bike rental fleet on their website http://www.canyonsports.com/ but don't seem to list any information.

Hmmm...your best bet may be the bicycle transit center http://bicycletransitcenter.com/products-and-services They don't list the specific types of bikes available, but they are downtown and at a commuter hub. I would suspect they would have road bikes. This is where I would check first, above the other 2 I listed.
