    Levis for cycling

    Just noticed this: http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp...05630.11844101

Geared toward a shorter commute than I have to work, but maybe for riding to the store. I think it looks pretty good for that.

They have skinny commuter jeans, too. No chamois. Stretchy fabric, reinforced stitching, reflective details, weather proofing, and a loop for a U lock is what makes them "commuter".

I won't care until they start making commuter clothes for women, too. Boo for them only making these for dudes.

    +1. I can't wear men's clothing - they just don't fit me.

    It's a start, yes.

I just felt really let down. Saw an article about these not too long ago, got all excited, went to the Levis site and was like, oh. I see how it is. Not to be all debbie downer, but for some reason the lack of a women's line got to me on this one.

Perhaps I'm just feeling extra boxed in by the boys' club in general lately.* Why take it out on Levis? They're just a company trying to make a buck. There was probably a good deal of market research that went into the decision to launch with only men's commuter clothes. And anything encouraging more cyclists, especially bike commuters, is a good thing.

Still, I can't help but be grouchy. At least a little.
