    Google+

Anyone else in? What do you think?

So far I'm pretty impressed. It's similar to Google, but the circles thing could really give FB a run for its money. Especially if Google doesn't go overboard with adds or allow hijacking apps or sneakily institute underhanded policies without first notifying users. No matter what, it HAS to be more stable than FB. Already I've not found it to be unstable.

None of the invitations I've been sent work. This makes me sad.

A couple of my friends couldn't get their invites to work, either...no clue why. Other people were able to register without invites. I suspect Google will be rolling out more invites every few days, as they work out kinks.

Hi, newbie to the forums here. I'm still waiting for my Google+ invite but I'm eager to give it a try. As for making invite registrations work, I've heard some people say that they were able to get their invites to work after a few tries at trying to register.

BTW, in case anyone has a private Google profile, Google will be doing away with private profiles by the end of this month (July). All Google profiles will now be public, which means the account holder's full name and gender at a minimum will be publicly available. I guess this is preparation for opening up Google+ to everyone.

Apparently some folks were able to get in sort of through the back door, too. I saw a couple of people say that if they tagged friends' e-mails in a stream post (like a FB wall post) that those people were able to get in.

I hope they open it to more invites soon. With only 13 friends on it's pretty boring.

I'm not surprised that Google is wanting to get in on the social media action. I got in when someone shared a comment with me. At the bottom there was a place to click to "learn more about Google+" and I was in.

It looks interesting, and I like the circles idea...

It looks like they've opened registration again. They've apparently only been leaving it open for a couple of hours at a time over the past few days, then shutting it back down.

I like it so far, though a lot of my friends haven't converted yet, so I don't have a lot of friends on it yet, so I usually just pop in and see what's up and then leave, but yeah, it's definitely more stable, and I like the way it handles a lot better
