    I hate Dish Network

Dish Network's sudden decision to pull OLN from its line up stems from a dispute between EchoStar and OLN regarding OLN's placement in a higher-priced channel package by Dish Network which is distributed to fewer viewers

"We are surprised and disappointed that Dish has unilaterally chosen to stop providing OLN to its customers, and denied fans the opportunity to watch sports coverage on OLN," OLN spokeswoman Amy Phillips said.

Not only does this mean no cycling, but also no hockey and no bass fishing, hunting, bull riding, motocross, america's cup, etc!

We called to complain. We're given them until the end of the month before we make the move to Direct TV! I want my OLN!

Keep us posted! I haven't had time to explore but we have the 180 package and lost the channel also. After daylight savings time, I have a list of things to pursue and this is one. We watched the fishing shows also.

i called to complain too.... i'm at least waiting til the end of the season cuz i don't want to deal with getting waivers for east coast feeds on direct.. i'm REALLY hoping they'll get it back.. but not holding my breath...

we pretty much only watch cyling on OLN so i don't care about not getting hocky, etc! but the whole reason we left cable and switched to dish was cuz the cable company took away OLN! go figure....

We complained to Dish Network as well, but isn't OLN bothered by this? They're losing all the Dish viewers. Surely that's a bite.

Now if only Discovery Channel would jump in and make a deal to cover more cycling? They ARE, after all, sponsoring a cycling team. If not TDF, at least they could show the Giro and some of the classics. Last I heard, OLN wasn't sure they'd carry the Giro in 2006. We really enjoyed watching that this year.

usually the station itself will have a link where if your cable/sat company does not carry them you can request it, along the line of a petition. Then they go to the cable/sat company "look what you're missing, these people want us, now here's our deal"

So if you go to the OLN website they may have this link, or e-mail, write them and they pursue it. True if Discovery picks up the slack....

Dish Network now has neither OLN, nor LOGO TV (MTV's LGBT channel, some call it Gay Lite ;-)

If they don't pick both of these up before
    1) race season and/or
    2) LOGO's 7 part made for TV movie about ALC4 whichever comes first look for a new satelite dish on Trek's roof.

Have had Directv for 6 years and have been very happy with them. Hubby gets his NFL sports package and I get OLN. I think Directv is more sports focused than Dish. Sorry to hear they aren't carrying OLN now.
