    Unhappy He's gone

Hunter died tonight. Whatever was going on with him was just too much for him to take. Thanks for all of the good wishes you sent his way.

So sorry. We had a kitty who died in the early morning hours of the day we'd scheduled to have him put to sleep (he'd had a stroke/seizure and it was a fast downward spiral from that). It brought us some peace knowing that he died in his own home, near his food dish and surrounded by those who loved him from kittenhood. I hope the same was true for your Hunter.

    Hi Nancielle,

His time with you seemed short two years; but, you gave him safe warm and a loving home for his time here on earth. You had rescued the poor little sick boy, nursed him back to health and he was able to enjoy life to the fullest. He got to be a real cat, a brat boy!

In return, you became aware of what it meant to rescue an animal, to let them steal your heart in a very loving way. Because of him, you now have rescued yet another cat who desperately needed a safe home. You have a kind heart and brat boy was there to prove that you do have a kind heart. He is now at the Rainbow Bridge with fond and loving memories. And when your time comes, he will be there to greet you. You will never be alone.

Sadness in our heart is normal. We all do miss our fur babies. We all cry. Remember the good memories, how you rescued him and gave him his life, how he brought smiles and laughter into your heart.

Peace be with you and to brat boy.

More hugs to you, Nancielle. I have to admit that I burst into tears when I read that Hunter had passed. Not only was I sad for him and you, but it triggered all the sadness I felt when Sophie passed last summer and my other cats took ill not long thereafter. They recovered but it was all so traumatic. Anyway, I had a good cry for all of them.

It's just so hard to lose our fur babies. Give yourself time and permission to grieve. So many of us on TE know what you're going through.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

I cry tears of sadness along with you. We just lost our 16 year old cocker last week, and the depth of sadness is tremendous. We love them like family- for they are our family. My heart aches for you. Be kind to yourself. Sending heart healing vibes to you.
