Okay - we found someone to drive the van, but now, another hiccup. One of our crew members had an emergency (pregnant wife got in a bad car accident) so he has to, understandably, back out. We expect to have a crew person arrive in San Diego, CA sometime in the a.m. of either Sat June 11 or Sun 12th.
Inspection of bikes is Mon June 13, 9 a.m; so the big push will be to have the purchased vans and the bikes set up completely for the inspect.
Race starts June 15 at noon (we actually have a person arriving Tues) Wed June 15.
Hoping to finish in Annapolis somewhere around the 24-25th.
Nancy Guth and Mary Florian are entered as the very first 2W -( 60+) team in the thirty years of the event.
Each day will need to cover an average of 338 miles, to make the 3031miles in our projected time.
All we can offer is an adventure, air fare and $30 daily stipend.
Looking for someone interested, has a drivers lic and a Veh Insurance card.
We have assembled a cycling, RAAM oriented crew this year vs last years makeup, just need additional person.
At present we have 11 crew. Four of this contingent have done RAAM before as rider or crew.
If you know anyone interested - accommodations will be sparse and hours long.
