    Angry Greater trochanteric pain syndrome!

OK, it’s hardly terminal but it’s bl00dy painful.

My Spinal Consultant thought it would be a good idea to just ‘pop’ a quick injection into my leg...........aaaaargh, he did not warn me how long it would take and how painful it would be. The downside is that they only seem to last 3 months, then it’s a question of having yet another.

I am due to have a third but thought I would go to a chiropractor to see if they could help as I dislike the thought of having yet more steroids in my system. The treatment consists of massaging the side of the thigh and it is unbelievably painful.

Anybody else ever had this and if so, what treatment worked for you?

I am posting the final outcome and although no other posts, there have been 279 views.

Finally 5 months on and everything has settled down, my Consultant said that this would happen eventually.

So the frustration of not being able to lay on my side, or walk very far has finally disappeared.
