Daylight Savings Time. All dressed up and...

All kitted out and waiting for a tiny ray of light before I launch.

living in Seattle, I had to give up on the notion of only riding in daylight or I could not commute (it's dark in the morning from october until april!).
So i made new rules. I ride if less than 2 of these are true:
dark, rainy, ... if it's dark AND rainy i won't ride, but if it's just dark, why not? I have great lights!

Since there is still danger of black ice in wee dark hrs. of morning, I took the short route to work which meant cycling on road with cars in a hurry to get to work.

Then came back after work on route 2x as long ...on a bike path which I needed. First work bike commute for 2011 and a dinky, simple one.

I had forgot some parts of Canada get alot of sand grit on roads after long hard winters...Vancouver was never like this.
