Sprint/Olympic Distance Triathlons in WA state?

I did my first Tri last summer, The Wunderwoman in Medical Lake WA. I'm hooked and can't wait till July to do another one, The Valley Girl in Liberty Lake, WA.
I'm wondering what other shorter distance Triathlons there are in WA State, as I want to do several next year. Any suggestions?

Assuming you're in Eastern WA, your other choices are co-ed:
Race the River in Coeur d'Alene is a sprint.
Rathdrum has a sprint early in the season.
Hayden has a sprint sometime in August (Hayden View, wasn't chip timed this year, though).
Coeur d'Alene Triathlon is an Olympic distance (and is hilly) in August
Spokane Triathlon is also Olympic distance (less hilly, but the water is mega cold) in September

Over on the west side, you've got the Danskin (August) and Trek Women (September) triathlons, both women-only on the same course on Lake Washington in Seattle. The Seafair Triathlon is also in the same venue, co-ed, in July (I think).

There might be more sprints on the west side, but I think those are all the sprints in the inland NW.

Have you checked out www.trifind.com? The site has an extensive list of races.

The only race I've done in Wa is the Black Diamond Tri in Enumclaw, in late September. I did the HIM, but they also have shorter races.

thanks for the info everyone. I found that the web site www.Trifind.com lists lots of races all ofver the state and the surrounding states also. Duathlons might be fun....no swimming!

But then you have a double run. Is the new and improved hip going to be up to the challenge?

Don't know how it will do, and it would be a double walk for me either way. I have to get to the point of walking unassisted first, no crutch or cane. And then who knows. I have 4 more months of rehabilitation to work thru.

I think there's one in Moses Lake and another one some where up around Lake Chelan too.
I think we're going to be busy next summer. Of course that's after we recover from surgery season!

Oh yeah, the surgery season. Do you have it scheduled yet? I'm at 8 weeks post op this week, down to one crutch and sometimes the cane. And am up to 13 slowwww minutes on the bike Starting to think about post surgery season and our new sport. Yes we'll be busy again one way or another. Cross training will make us stronger!
