The one-time showing of Race Across the Sky 2010 is Thursday, November 4 at a theater near you! A group of us went last year and loved it and plan to go again this year.
If you don't know what it is, it's a video of the Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race that is shown one night at 500 theaters across the United States. To see where the closest showing to you is, go the the website and click on the link to buy tickets. You will be asked to put in your zip code then select "buy tickets" to get the list of the closest theaters.

They're covering the foot race as well this year.
Two people from my area - including a woman who used to kick my @ss on the bici 20 years ago - did the run this year and finished. So I'm expecting the showing will be better attended this year than it was last year! A few of us from the bike club are getting together for dinner and the movie.
Before I saw last year's movie I was just like, "meh, mountain bikes, well, it's something to do on a weeknight." Now I'm excited!

It's actually showing here (I'm surprised!), but I'm not sure I'll be going. The $13 ticket is a little steep right now.
There's a group of MTBers from my uni's club going, though.At least I don't leave slime trails.

Just returned from seeing Race Across the Sky 2010. It was just as good or better than last year's. There is an encore showing on November 9. If you didn't see it tonight, I would highly recommend going on the 9th.
