    Completed my first century today!

I'm tired, but so excited. Yesterday I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do it, but I felt really good today and was lucky in that I hooked up with a great group. We each took 1-2 mile pulls and the miles just flew by. My goal was to finish the ride in less than 6 1/2 hours, but I finished in 5:52! Definately a great experience.

Nooooo....stops not included. We made 3 stops, each one about 8-12 minutes long. I would've finished a few minutes faster, but my husband dropped a chain 2 miles before the finish (at the bottom of a hill, of course). Since I talked him into doing the century to begin with (he was planning on doing the metric only), I had to wait. Then he started cramping up so I had to wait a little more...finishing the ride together was really cool though. He's dead tired, but I know he's proud of himself.

Awesome! Haven't done a century yet, myself. Kudos to you! Way more important to finish with hubby then to cut your time by a few minutes...nice job.
