    cycling - PhD style!

    I saw this and had to laugh - I have seen each of these solutions on campus in the last week alone! Enjoy!

    my son, a recent PhD graduate now doing post doc work sent this too me with a mention that he had tried all of the methods, and just preferred shorts. He is in Southern California so he can get away with that.

    ha, I use "askew pedaling" at times. My socks aren't long enough to tuck. I frequently walk around half the day with my right pant leg rolled up because I forget to unroll it.

    They forgot big rubber-bands. Works better than binder clips.

    Or a set of shoe laces - one to use, one for spare.

    I got a chuckle out of the comic. Personally, I have an ankle Road ID... so that's what I use to cinch up my pant leg.

    This one gives me a chuckle. I've done the sock tuck (my socks matched!). I've seen all of these around campus as well.

    Yes, that makes too much sense. Safe, effective, casually draws attention to the roadid, kinda stylish in a way.
