Talking My girl's getting her first bike tomorrow!

    This one.

Though it's a slightly different colour scheme - pink and white.

I took her to a different LBS in the next town, and they were so helpful. The owner's daughter is slightly older (my girl is 3 next Feb) and talked through what the options were. I wasn't sure if B would go for the bike or not as she is easily swayed by tassels and dolly carriers and such like, and I wanted something slightly more rigid and functional. Anyway, she looked at it and said "It's BEAUTIFUL!", then climbed on, rang the bell for a bit, then set off around the shop shouting "I'm cycling! I'm cycling!" She steered as well, without falling off, I was so proud of her. She'll have caught me up in no time. So we are going back tomorrow, with her daddy, to buy her very first bike. I'm sure he will be a bit dewy-eyed too. Apparently she is less likely to need stabilisers when she goes to a pedal bike as this one will help her learn to balance and steer.

Your post made me smile, you know, one of those really soppy smiles.

What a beautiful bike and a great way of starting to ride.

    Enjoy watching her first ride.

    Thank you both!

She is snoring on my lap at the moment. We picked up the bike first thing, then I took her out with it. We went to both local parks, then she set off down a path I've never tried which took us onto the local canal, on the side that I didn't think had a path . Then she found another play park! Such a little adventurer. She did complain about the bike being "a bit wobbly, mummy", but once she let me carry her precious sheet of stickers she did a lot better. She was so tired after the last park though that I carried her home in one arm and her bike in the other. I didn't get photos but will try to get some tomorrow. It was so lovely watching her. Even when she was clearly frustrated she didn't want to get off the bike.
