Are any of you northern ladies riding the Lighthouse Century?

Anybody else doing this one in San Luis Obispo on 9/24?

This will be my first time for this one... it's supposed to be an AWESOME ride! I've heard nothing but stellar reports about it... the support is great, route is fantastic and dinner at end excellent... should be FUN!

I'm doing the "flat" 100... 3000ft climbing... was gonna do the hilly hundred with 4500 ft climbing but riding it with my brother... this is his "recovery" ride as he is doing the Knoxville double the week before... 200 miles with 11,000ft climbing... nutjob.

Lighthouse looks like fun, maybe next year.

Hope your brother enjoys Knoxville. The Quacks do a fantastic job putting on the ride and really pamper the cyclists! I'll be volunteering at the finish, and Veronica and her DH usually work one of the rest stops. I think I've seen your brother's pic, I'll keep an eye out for him.

Kim, cool! He is supposed to email me some current pics so I'll post one... he rides a Specilized Tarmac... silver and black... and is a tall and big guy... as of this AM he was down to 235lbs!!! in 6 more lbs he'll be HALF his original body weight... all due to eating right and riding... Knoxville will be his second double... next year he wants to do the Triple Crown...

I usually do the check ins at whatever stop we're manning, so he'll have to see me.
