    New here...

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for the last week or so, and have decided to not be a chicken and post up.

I've started training for the Seattle to Portland next year, and I'm going to ride it with my dad. (Not his first, he's very experienced as a rider and commuter) This will be my first ride.

So far, I farking LOVE riding, and look forward to it every evening, and when life happens and I can't get out on my bike, I get cranky. So, I'm here to learn, ask advice, make friends, etc.

I do have to say, after a week, I'm super impressed with how loose my pants are fitting, and my stamina. I broke my back over four years ago, and now am steel reinforced, so running and other sports are difficult. The lack of excersize and chronic pain left me in less than stellar condition. You could say that I'm an easy keeper. I also love how wonderful I feel now. I'm patient with my kids, I'm happy, I have TONS of energy... I'm just getting started too!

Anyhoo, that was me in a very cracked nutshell.

    *waves* How do ya do?

Oxy, I believe that's only 20 minutes away from me. We should meet up sometime, I could always use a riding buddy.

I live in Canby now, but spent many many years in Yamhill county. I love MAC, and am homesick sometimes.

    Yep...about 20 minutes or so.

I ride with a small group of friends (3 or 4, including me) on Wednesday evenings. Not sure how far you're riding, but you're welcome to join us. Depending on who's there, we usually ride between 16-20 miles. It's more of a social ride than a hammer-fest, so we may be way to slow for you.

PM me if you want more details.
