Seems to be true of my father. He's much happier as an octogenarian than he was at fifty. I'm very encouraged by his elderly experience. He's having a ball. He took up an instrument about 20 years ago, and now he has several gigs a week. He's got lots of friends and his calendar is always booked with something he wants to do. He doesn't seem to do anything he doesn't want to do. I want to be him when I grow old (minus the pills).
As a younger man, he worked three jobs and argued with my mother in his spare time. It was a blast, I'm sure.![]()
