Washington Post wants your thoughts on sharing the road

This was posted today in the Get There blog on washingtonpost.com, if anyone would like to share their experiences:

    Sharing the Road?
Traffic-choked streets are a part of daily life in the Washington region. In recent years, bicycles have become an ever-more present part of life on those streets too, as more adults turn to bikes for transportation, fitness and pleasure. How well are cyclists and drivers sharing the road? Send us your thoughts and observations. E-mail transportation@washpost.com.

It's not a bike article until you throw out a "Lance Wannabes".
But, I do like the tone this guy took. Cry me a river, indeed.

Wow. I wish I could fit that entire article into a message board/e-mail signature. It's just so... sensible. Thanks for the link, pfunk.

Though, of course, the few comments I read made me sad.
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."
David Desautels, in a letter to velonews.com

Random babblings and some stuff to look at.
