I'd like to do 30 - 35 with no big hills. I'm in South San Jose and have lovely riding terrain near my house (country roads and reservoirs), but I'm also willing to drive a bit to ride with someone else.

I'm doing a 50-miler called "The Lettuce Ride" in the Salinas Valley tomorrow (Salinas to Gonzales and back) with two non-roadies, so the pace will be very slow. They also have 10, 20 and 100 mile courses. It starts at 8:00AM. It should be a fun, flat, low-effort ride. Wanna do it? But you'd have to wake up pretty darn early!

If I weren't leaving for Santa Fe for the weekend in 20 minutes, I'd come ride with you! As compensation, I'm meeting CorsairMac in Albuquerque on Tuesday night for dinner - I feel like I'm going to be meeting a celebrity! (This forum is so cool - where else would you feel comfortable meeting a person you only know online?)
But please, keep the invites coming -- I only have 289 days to get ready for the AIDS ride! I need all the miles I can get!
