    Surly Love at first sight!

No...my new bike doesn't get to come home until tomorrow - but I SAW it today! Sadly I didn't know I would get to meet him today so I wore a longish dress to work - rather hard to take it for a spin in THAT

I already know my LHT is male, and such a beautiful color! So compact and small that I had an immediate urge to toss my leg over the top tube and go for a nice long ride...even if it wasn't, quite, built yet Almost, 99% done, but not quite. I AM glad that I went with the 46cm rather than the 42, that would have been too small for me.

He looks much smaller than Stella, though I suspect that is the smaller wheels more than anything. I have GOT to get that bar-end shifting down, and fast. I have given myself permission to replace the road bars with mountain bars/trigger shifters if the bar-end thing proves too big of an issue - not that I think I will do it but it gives me an "out" so I can relax and play with them

I almost had them replace the bar tape, but as they had a very narrow range of colors I decided to take my time deciding how to personalize my lovely small touring bike!

Tomorrow I will get pictures at the store - I've no one at home to take them... I might even be in the picture

You should be fine with the bar ends... don't be afraid of 'em!

I put the same brake levers on my mixte that come on the LHT - you'll probably like them. The hoods are super comfy.

Yeppers It was like he was standing there and giving me the eye, saying, come on, you know you want to go ride

As of yet, I've only ridden a bike with mountain bars and trigger shifters - that is the only reason I'm a little nervous about the bar-ends. However I am looking forward to learning them!

I also had fun on Stella today, we had fun fighting the wind
