Knickers for Tall, Long Waisted Women?

I have a lovely pair of Pearl Izumi knickers that are too short in the rise -- that's the distance between my crotch and my waist. I have the same problem with lots of women's bicycling jerseys -- their "waist" is not at my waist (closer to my boobs!).

For you tall cyclists out there (I'm 5'8", not THAT tall) -- what brands of cycling gear have you found that suit your leggy/long waisted frames?

    Thanks for any tips!

The only downside is that TE doesn't sell them. But, they are a small, American manufacturer so I justify them.

Their shorts and knickers are very basic, nothing fancy and not high tech, but like my B-68, the fact that they fit trumps all.

The knickers and tights fall into the just long enough category for me (I'm 6'). I've started having them make custom shorts for me, though, so that I can get a longer inseam. When I need to replace my knickers, I'll probably go custom as well.

I am not tall overall, but I have a long torso. For shorts - I'm still looking for the perfect pair. I can't stand low rise because they are invariably too low on me.

For jerseys, I have found that Gore, Sugoi, LG and Ibex are all longer through the torso (and the waists fall in the right place). Forget Shebeest or Terry - both are too short!

If you call TE directly and ask for their help, the employees all know their product very well and can probably make some great recommendations.

Oh yeah, jerseys....usually, I just go XL for the length. Voler's jerseys also are relatively decent fit and this wool jersey ( http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodSW_17401.html ) is so perfect in length (both torso and sleeve) that I'm wondering how I can wear it all summer long.

GLC - I would disagree with a blanket "forget Shebeest" for taller women. We steer customers to the Shebeest style called "Bellissima". (You can type that into the search box on any page on our website Longer/taller customers love it - it's Shebeest's longest style. But do steer clear of Easy Vs and Halters from Shebeest if you are long/tall.

    Higher rise shorts/knickers -

    Shebeest Century Elite
    Sugoi RS short or knicker
    Sheila Moon Athena or Venus
    Canari Tundra
    Pearl Izumi Elite Thermal Knicker
    LG Fit Sensor Deville Short

Bibs are always a good idea for women who like higher rise shorts too.
