    Spandura - ever sewed it?

Anyone ever sewed garments with Spandura? I'm mulling over my needs for abrasion resistant bike clothes, and making my own is one option.

Seattle Fabrics says Spandura is good for rock climbing tights -- personally, I'm surprised that people wear tights for rock climbing.

If no one hear has experience with it, perhaps ask them to send a tiny swatch sample? Makes one wonder if any bike clothing designer might know and email them. ie. am thinking of independent firms not regular firms we know in the cycling apparel industry.

That's an interesting idea about asking independent bike clothing designers. I'm probably going to visit the Outlier people that I posted about in another thread -- maybe they will have some information.

I am going to get a swatch, and maybe sew "practice" pants out of a less pricey fabric that has the same percentage stretch. I've had fairly good luck sewing stable knits. Surely anything based on Cordura will be stable.

DH is needing some custom bibs made. His mom was a seamstress. Where do you find patterns?

    Thanks,
