    Have you seen my Mojo?

or maybe I should put this into the Introduction section.

I used to post here occasionally, and I used to ride pretty often. I haven't posted in forever and it's been even longer since I rode my bike.

Other than a kick in the butt, what will get me riding again??

Sign up for an event. Find a riding buddy and train for it together.

The best advice I can give is to get on the bike as soon as you decide to, before you change your mind. The mind is a tricky beast, and will try to talk you out of riding. It will use a gamut of excuses, from it being "too cold outside" to your being "too tired". It will come up with some really lame ones (You can't ride! You have a paper cut!), and even those will be hard to ignore if the beast is fully engaged.

One thing that will help is to prep everything the night before, and get on the bike as quickly as you can the next morning. Hopefully you'll be on the bike before the beast has awakened. Once you're riding, the beast will wake up, but then it will move on to telling you the hills are too steep, and the wind is too strong, but you will be able to ignore it on the downhills and tailwinds. Then, you'll remember--this is fun!
