    lubing speedplay's

Ok, here is a question from me. How often and how and what part do you lube the pedals. I haven't done anything since I got them a few months ago because I simply forgot about the slight up-keep. Probably because I have no problems with them, but I just recently read about lubing them and I am just curious what some of you other speedplay ladies do.

I guess I will jump the gun and ask for my friend also as she has speedplay x's, I think.

    Again, Thanks Much!!!

I don't know about the Speedplay Xs, but the Frogs have a grease port on the outside of the pedal. If the X has the same thing, you just remove the little screw (and don't lose it!) and shoot grease in from the side.

Same procedure on the X's. Mine have about 5k miles w/o lubing. Will probably do it soon since the mechanic said to do it annually.

I just squirt my Zero's with White Lightening about once a month or so...

As I understand it, you should be squirting grease (not lube) into the pedals to grease the bearings. Maybe there is a White Lightening grease, but all I've ever seen is the lube.

Speedplay sells a gun with lube for $25.00. My LBS does not carry it. Is that what you use Denise or is your process more simple and more easily accessible.

I remembered about the port and went on the site. I just don't want to by something unless it is necessary.

    Thanks

aaack! you're right... I thought she was referring to lubing to clip in and out more easily... I spray with white lightening for that...
