    Wink I test rode a Pilot 2-1

Well after my 25 year old Centurion, I experienced the Trek Pilot 2-1 today on a ride. First time I have ridden a newer technology road bike and oh my I didn't want to come back. I couldn't believe it. It was like a feather and the new shifting oh dear, sweet sweet sweet. Of course I always do this kind of thing and now ask if I have $ 1200.00 for a new bike. NO. But the 46 cm fit me to a tee. I am thinking of selling my Rans Tailwind (01) to help start raising the money. I'll still lack about 700.00. Let's see do any of you want to see an older but very foxy girl sing and dance? wOULD Love to hear from anyone else who has ridden this bike and also know if you have any ideas on how to sell my Rans recumbent. Oh well...I guess I could go in every week in disguise and ride it for 10 minutes.... SIGH

uhm. precisely what are you offering us? That must be one heck of a bike. There are easier ways to come up with the funds, you KNOW women don't tip well ;-)

Yeah, that'll work. Do that often enough to annoy the shop they may give you the bike?
    It could happen.

so sisson, did you visit the bike today?

Sounds like this is an irrisistable bike. I'd better not try it.

    similar mistake

I made the mistake of riding a Pilot 5.0 for 65 miles. (A really nice way to demo.) Unfortunately, they are $2,400 or something. Ouch.

    But I must have one.
    Somehow.
Some way. Well, first I'll have to demo at least 3 other bikes...

A friend of mine rides a Pilot 2.1 WSD. She loves it. She was also a bit surprised she needed a WSD - she is 5'7 with a long torso and long arms/hands/fingers. She just always assumed a "regular" bike would work. Anyway, long story short she is very happy with her Pilot.

I belong to a women's investment club, and we took a nice payout(our 1st and only) right before Christmas. All the other members were putting their $$ in their IRA's and buying stock for their grandchildren. I was the smartest--I bought the Pilot 5.0 WSD! I had to wait about 6 weeks for it, and it was well worth the wait. My only problem was the saddle, but Terry has solved that. It's a wonderful ride!!! Go for it!!!!
