    Biking shoes

Because of neuromas in both feet, I am wondering if any of you know whether a biking shoe with a firm sole but without any clip apparatus is available. Most likely I'll never ride with shoes that clip into pedals. When I feel inside my Shimano biking shoes, there are "bumps" that may exacerbate the pressure on the neuromas during pedaling. A shoe with a plain hard and firm sole seems as though it would be best for me, but I know of no such critter. Any ideas?

Five Ten makes bike shoes for use with platforms. They are designed primarily for free-ride/bmx type use, but may suit your purposes. I'm not sure how firm their soles are given their intended purpose. Worth looking into perhaps.

Specialized Body Geometry "Tahoe" shoes work fine without cleats.

I have the men's (for the wider toe box) with insoles with met buttons added, and the neuroma in my left foot is happy with that.

I also like riding in my Birkenstocks. Happy neuroma, firm sole. And they look oh-so-sexy...

Looks like your in San Fransisco correct?

If so, find Chrome's retail store - try out their urban line of cycling shoes. I have a pair that I love that are grippy, stiff soled and stylish. Since you live in SF you can go to their store and probably try them on.

On their site it says if you live in SF - they'll have Godspeed bike messengers deliver your online order (if you order by 1pm) on the same day. That's coolness.

Oh, man, that is very cool! If I lived in SF, I'd order something from them just to have a bike messenger deliver it. I'm such a nerd...
