West Mi 2010 road:events,clubs,teams?

I'm looking for information on women's West Mi road events: clubs? teams? groups? charity? Whatever......

I'm 49 years young, B+A- rider,who would like to race this season.

There is a calendar of events and a list of racing teams.

FYI - many racing teams recruit and close their rosters in the fall for logistical reasons. (ordering team kits, training riders, etc.), so it may be difficult to find a team for this season, but it will be an opportunity to scope out different teams. Don't feel shy about approaching riders at races and asking about their team.

July 22-25th is the Michigan Make A Wish 300 Mile in 3 Days Ride, Traverse City to Chelse. I think a group of us from work are going to do this ride.

My hubby is assistant coach for the West MI JDRF Ride team. This year they will be training to ride 100 miles in Death Valley:

We're also planning to do the Holland Hundred ride and the Colorburst Tour in October.

Velo City Cycles in Holland organizes a ton of group rides and the store owner is a really great guy. He is the head coach for the local JDRF Ride team chapter.

Women's Ride every Thursday (weather permitting) meeting at Ada Bike Shop in Ada, MI. Rolling at 6:15. I'm going on my first ride with the group this week.

There is also a women's ride every Tues. in North Muskegon @ 6PM from the Keefe's Pharmacy parking lot.
