    Snowed in again

Well, we're snowed in again for the day it looks like. So far, we have had almost 3 feet in 3 nights of snow. At least, during the day, it was getting sunny and the roads were melting a bit. Today, however, it is supposed to be snowing and overcast all day and tomorrow too. They are saying that with this storm, we might get 2-4 feet more of snow

I can't get the Subaru out of the neighborhood, or if I did, I would not get back in later today; so I am holed up with a fire going and lots of food stocked up in the pantry. It is quite beautiful.

Send it here, the central mtns ski resorts are begging for snow. The snow gods are ignoring them. Please don't send to Denver, we've had enough already, over 50" since Oct.

My cousins in Hamilton and Burlington keep asking me how it is we've had more snow in the DC area than they have. It is a weird winter. Though I wouldn't mind another 'shutting down the city' snowfall here. I missed the last one, and I was not happy about that!

    5-6 feet

It looks like we will end up with about 5-6 feet out of the storm for the week. It is still snowing lightly and is supposed to snow till around noon. They plow finally came around some last night and finished off this morning. I have not gone out to see what kind of berm they left me, but I'm sure it's a big one! Oh Joy!

We shovel snow off the roof a little sometimes around the edges and have heat cable on the roof to avoid ice dams. We don't have too much trouble with them except over by where the wood stove is. We need a snow rake for the sheds!

I'm sorry to say too that Big Kitty is on his last legs. He is 24 and just isn't doing well. But, he has been hanging in there; still trying to eat, etc. Poor guy.

Exactly. Or better yet, drive up to Penna or go over to Cumberland or West Virginia.

Spoke, I love Flag in a snowstorm. In fact, there is nothing about your city I don't like! We made a few wintry trips there before I moved to MA, to introduce my kids snow. It was a blast and we got to enjoy 2 blizzards, sledding, and making snowmen.

Yeah, Crankin, it's great until you get another foot during the day (about 4 feet for the week yesterday afternoon, and then it starts to rain! What a mess! Shoveling 2 inches of slush out to the street and onto the pile before it freezes into an ice rink last night was fun; also pushing the water away from the garage to keep it from flooding was good too! We got another foot last night which is still sitting out there waiting for me to shovel - It really is beautiful, but it is getting to be a bit much now. We need to get on the roof pretty soon too, cause the snow is really heavy and wet with the rain we got last night. Had a little leaking in the house too, just minimal so far though.

After all the shoveling, I don't have the energy to go skiing or snow shoeing!
