I'm sure you'll get some advice here because we are just the most helpful knowlegable bunch of folks you'll find on the web. I'm not one who can give that advice as I don't use BC, post menopausal and even before I am ... ah never mind.

But when it comes to buying prescription medication online without a prescription I'd caution:

Is there a clinic or doctor, nurse practitioner .... someone you can see to at least get the advice of which is safe for YOU?

That doesn't sound legal or safe. Assume you're asking about BCPs.

Planned Parenthood, at least back in the day, was a good source for either free or lower cost BCPs. A doctor's exam (pelvic) was included in the service.

Are you thinking more of as convenience ordering online? Please don't compromise on your health safety vs. seeing a doctor or Planned Parenthood.

yeah, just convenience and cutting out the middle man really. i am currently on nuva ring and the planned parenthood closed down earlier this year in the town i moved to. so, yeah, don't have money to go to the dr and buy bc. just trying to find a cheaper way to get ahold of some. i might try canadadrugs.com and see if my old dr will fax me a scrip. meh.....

Your county's Social Services offices should offer some type of clinic.

I don't know what site I would've gone for them to steal my cookie to spam me, but I've been getting loads of "buy birthcontrol online" spams lately.

Other than that, no advice, sorry.

You might be surprised.... I had my yearly a few months ago and my doc gave me 4 rings for free. They get them free from the drug company, so it's not like it costs them. I don't think it would hurt to call around, and see if there is a doc who would give you samples and a legit Rx for more. I ended up not liking it at all though so I tossed my extras.. but I didn't feel all that bad about it because I didn't pay for them and I know my doc didn't either.

I would not EVER trust the internet for any kind of Rx drug.. especially if you're considering shopping out of the country. Yeah, it could be cheaper, but if you can't afford a doctor's appointment or paying the regular Rx cost now, what's going to happen if you get fake rings and end up pregnant? Not worth it IMO.

If you are on it for contraception and not some other female issue, I don't think there is *anything* wrong with asking your partner to help with the costs... so that's something to consider as well.

Walmart offers several BCP options on their $4 plan, with no membership fee or anything.. if you'd consider going back to a pill from the ring.

I buy prescriptions from Canada, regularly. My MD is aware of where I go, which is a reputable chain pharmacy. Why? My plan does not cover what I take. One month supply in the US is $120 out of my pocket. Same prescription mail order is $120 for THREE months. Go figure. I know it's safe, and it's worth savings $250 to me. There are a lot of people who use online/mail order on pharmacy items, from reputable pharmacies, to afford what our wonderful US health care won't afford us.

i ended up ordering from canadadrugsonline.com. i got my old obgyns' nurse to fax in a script to get me through till my next exam. i think i do want to switch, but, i will take this for now. i had another dr tell me about canada drugs. he was anti drug company, weird, i know. but, cool, nonetheless. anywho, i guess this will get me through. i did find the health dept at the last minute too. so, it could have been an option, but they needed three pay stubs and i only had one and i needed a refill asap. i am on top of it, right? hahaha. thanks ladies.
