    3 months!!! Ack!

I just got a clarification from my doctor...

No jarring on the pelvis. No horseback riding, no mountain biking. Smooth road riding only. For. 3. months.

That is easier said than done. Most roads have some bumps somewhere. My daily road has a rutted section. I guess some of the rails to trails would be ok.

    Some spin classes maybe??

Dang it I am so upset! Three months from now will be one year minus a week from the injury.

**For those who dont know, I have a nonunion fracture left over from the accident on March 28th where I fractured my pelvis and two places and also my sacrum when a dog ran out and hit me. **

Wow! That sucks! Though, it would suck more - way more - if you never healed right. I think 3 months in the grand scheme of things (ok, three more months...) is do-able if you end up healed at the end. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way diminishing the sucky-ness of the situation...
Take care, and heal well... can you swim as cross training? Spinning sounds like a viable option.

Yes, very very true. I am just venting at this point. The other sorta positive is that it is winter and I usually back off my riding some anyway.

But waaaaaaaaaaaaa! I want to vent some more!

Wow, bummer! But yes good that you can still exercise to keep your sanity and fitness over the winter! You'll be healed by the first day of spring!

Aw, man. I didn't realize it wasn't completely healed yet.

Vent all you like. And keep on healing.

We thought it was and I was clear for all activities but I was experiencing some pinching mostly while sitting at my desk at work. I went back to the doctor. He ordered an MRI and then a CT. From what I understand, a normal x-ray can miss it and since I had one every time I went to the doctor, that is what happened here.
