    First race ever!

Well - raced last week, in Tour de femme. First race ever!1
    I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got over serious Chronic fatigue, post viral illness, and a mirror dropped on my foot, plus having a hard time getting to the registry place, and even RODE to the race.

If you know me, thats amazing. I was so ill about two weeks before, I could barely walk. Then, for another week, pretty bad.Got chelation about two weeks before but had not worked. In fact I got worse, back to how I was several years ago.
This includes bad sores on my lower back, which can make shorts a no no.
So I thought, Armstrong has nothing on me!!
In fact after 11 KM, I was pretty tired ( rode at 26 km the whole way, pst viral fatigue.)
Conquering illness, one step at time.

I had rode aggressively, after the first km ,when I felt , hey I can bunch ride - I can PASS TOO!! So there I went , little legs spinning, overtaking all the grannies and mums, passing everyone on their nice touring bike( its a causual ride as well as a race).
It was on part of a parkway for a while, with cars whizzing by in next lane( so scary!)
Anyhow, I was telling this woman my tale, and about the people at my clinic who have cancer, and ride and how I got into Lance Armstrong and this Lady is like 0h your Amazing! YOu! You are your own Lance! You go !!
So I thought, yeah and even though I had been puffed out, legs sore and really hurting -( at least 4 or five times), I said I will! And she said later - you just TOOK OFF! FLEW up that hill! Your were gone!! And she rides all the time , too!
I was eating up the pavement, dishing out pain, yeah! Rode so fast got worried on flats I was going too fast!!
Im going to race again, I just know it!

That's awesome! And inspiring, given all you've been through. Congrats on what I hope will be the first of many great races.
