84 year old woman cyclist... in heels?!?!

Ok, even with the heels she's still rad.

She is amazing. Inspiring. Imagine having a grandmother like that: a hard act to follow.

Incredible! And on a single speed bike, no less!

Once on a weeklong bike ride I was going up a hill, could hear someone coming up at a pretty fast clip, I looked over and it was an "old-ish" guy on a very heavy looking Schwinn. I stopped at the next rest stop, he was there, we chatted, turns out he was 84 years old, doing the week long ride for like the 5th or 6th year! That's how I want to be if I am fortunate enough to live that long and have good health!

For now, I felt pretty cool this summer when my daughter showed up unexpectedly with my grandson and granddaughter just as I was returning from a bike ride. I got off my bike (pink jersey) and my 5 year old granddaughter looks at me and says, "You look awsome"! That made my day. Now if I can keep doing it (knock wood) until I'm in my 80's!

Wouldn't it be great if stories like this were on the news instead of all the bad stuff?

    Very inspiring. Made me cry.
I love her reason for her choice of attire.

My brother in law does this ride every year and has told me about her before. Cool to see her get national coverage.
