    The brighter the better/chopper colors

I don't see an option for bright primary colors. Seriously, like the old schwinn red and orange. Or any kind of bright blue. Or bright purple or fuschia or magenta. My road bike, which was available with a choice of colors but not a custom color, is a shade most men call pink but I call fuschia. Women just say they like the color.

I am now shopping for a full suspension mountain bike. As dumb and girly as it is, the lack of color out there is causing me to wait. Who decided that bikes should be neutral colored with just a hint of color on the badge? All I see are black (ick) or silver (even worse) or kinda greyish (gag me). Oh and don't forget moss or khaki green. I think the marketers are missing something. Hell, colors can be manly. Go look at a custom motorcycle or car show and you will see what I am talking about.

Being born and raised in Seattle, I can tell you that these neutral mud colors are the dominant design aesthetic here, and I hate it. Dullness is so pervasive that even I am dressing dull, it is getting harder to find bright clothes to purchase.

You and I should trade places. Only I don't call it "dullness", I call it "subtle".

yes, especially this time of year where everything is dull and dark,we want bright colors here!

TC1, option two is bright colors, red, orange she mentioned. Implication would include other bright non girly colors

my favorite color is pink. everything i have is pink. but when it came time to picking a bike a think a white bike with colored detail will last longer and not age as fast in terms of style. i hope.

    Have fun with color!

Mondonico ~ silver with a subtle hint of lavender. The chart called the color "metallic plum" but depending on the light it's anywhere from pink to light purple. I never get bored with the color because it's always changing.

GT commuter ~ bright, loud, visible "you moron, how can you tell me you did not see that????" screaming school bus YELLOW

Mixte ~ beautiful green tea green. Picked it out of the gutter and rebuilt it because of the color and because it's a great bike

Knott's Giant ~ she picked the red to match a hint of deep red in the headbadge. My gal has taste and Chris and his guys matched it beautifully.

    Knott's Waterford ~ gold!

Knott's Surly Crossride ~ black of course but with lots of red accents
Fancy Schmancy Custom Road bike ~ Mondonico Futura Legero
Found on side of the road bike ~ Motobecane Mixte
    Gravel bike ~ Salsa Vaya
Favorite bike ~ Soma Buena Vista mixte
    Folder ~ Brompton
N+1 ~ My seat on the Rover recumbent tandem

I agree, it depends on the bike. Also, I like muted colors and then I like to accessorize with something ...whimsical - that can be changed. Moreover, I would take the 'perfect" bike in whatever color I could get. Though, when I have a custom bike powder coated, it will be very similar in color to Lisa's bumble bee luna.
