I'm glad to hear that they also felt their quads burn on the false flats of that trail. I was pretty miserable riding back to Meyersdale this past Monday, using my small chainring on what appeared to be totally flat trail. Not to mention, there's a reason there are wind farms on every ridge out thataways.
That guy must've been seriously over-loaded to have such a wobbly ride with so many crashes. The area heading into Ohiopyle is the best stretch of the GAP that I've been on and not at all scary.
