    and speaking of kitties...

DH showed up this afternoon with 2 kitties......

a rescue brother and sister, orange DSH, 14 weeks old. They came with the names Dixie and Garvey (UGH!)..DH shortened it to D & G - of course Dolce and Gabana comes to mind... (didn't someone in this forum name their kitties that?) DS at university was a bit indignant that we would replace our dear orange Nugget who died unexpectedly this year - but these kittiesare t otally different in colouring. DS did like the name ..he's a fan of popular fashion, let's say. DD is in heaven with 2 kitties to tame....

Dolce (the girl) has unusual markings - but she is a terror. Gabana is more friendly and laid back. Apparently only 25% of orange cats are girls. If they are all like Dolce.....

Shall post pictures when they are settled

maybe the girl kitty will settle down. So she is a terror you say...

Instead of Dolce, I think is very cute name, how about Diabla (instead of Diablo) and taking a cue from Amigo/Amiga. I don't know much about Spanish but it works for me.

Just wanted to say congratulations on your two new "fur kids". I kitty sat the other day to a 2-3 week old stray. That was a chore to get her fed and try to calm her down. I hope the ones you have will make an easy adjustment to your home.

    Congrats.

    a few photos

    Girl kitty

    Boy kitty

    Sleeping..finally

Clawful cats are very worrisome. I've grabbed the sisal rug from outside and am trying to get them to use it..then they start chasing each other..flying leaps and claws....my husband signed a "no declaw" contract. I know there are heated views on this subject, but when I pay thousands of dollars for furniture... Our last cat did totally fine without his front claws. The two of them knocked over a lamp today. Guess I'm going to have to baby-proof the house for awhile.

Oh, and get this - boy kitty has been suckling on the girl kitty. Apparently not totally abnormal..This is only our 2nd and 3rd cat - so we've not seen this before.
