Not immediately life threatening, but on last years Wildflower Century (starts and finishes in Creston, kind of a wide place in the road to nowhere) a man and his son were running a radio controlled toy car at the end of their long dirt drive to their house. There were strong prevailing winds that caused the dust to blow across the road in a pretty good cloud. They did for each rider. Now that's just rude, but that part of the state has the pathogens in their soil for Tularemia or "Valley Fever", a fungal disease that can be quite disabling. You contact it by inhaling it.
