    RR olympic and sprint

First of all I learned a lesson on the swim. I put sunblock on and it made my goggles all slippery and let water in and then mixed with the sunblock, BURNED my eyes, so I stopped several times on the swim to wash eyes out. 28 mins. Bike, 8 steep climbs of 8% each 1k, which meant slow up, very fast down. By the 6th or 7th I could barely keep going. 1:41. Run, felt fine and thought I was going fast, but a friend told me "boy were you going slow!", so alas, felt fine, but my own rhythm. 1:07, total 3 hours 21.
Saturday swam and ran a little to loosen up.
Sunday, Sprint, now this was totally different. A whole different show. Mentally I knew I only had 4 climbs, so I went up mostly standing and really pumping on harder gears, and flying down like a bat out of he--. Jumped off the bike and raced into the run, 29mins. A total of 1 hour 31, less than half what I did on Friday, with only one day of recovery from the Olympic. Now that was TOTALLY cool. But the best part of the whole experience was that today, Monday, after two tris, I am totally fine, no muscle soreness, no pain, no extra fatigue, just kind of like I hadn't done much. Now I am worried if I didn't try hard enough

    Wow! Fabulous.

And funny, too (uh...I think maybe you tried hard enough even if you AREN'T totally trashed today).

Way to go!!! That sounds like quite the adventure. Sounds like you did it just perfectly if you're not sore today.

It's really amazing how different the two distances are, for being "short" courses in and of themselves.

    Congrats!

Wow how pretty! And you're not sore? I could hardly walk when I got up this morning. And that was just a sprint on sunday.
