    Peterborough Sprint July 5

This day was perfectly lovely, cool, sunny. Peterborough is a small city 1.5 hours NE of Toronto. I decided to drive it the morning of which entailed getting up way too early....

I think I run faster with painted nails.....

    just leaving...a little bleary eyed

I smiled as I took this one..dry..on land....

    T1. DH likes this one!

    Smile or grimace?

I like my form in this one. I hate that the time is always "tri-time!"

It was pretty uneventful. No moving trucks, no horse and buggy..... Finished 2/13 in my AG. 1:17:48

2K run 8:34 (4:17 pace) obviously a measurement problem here; was not 2k
    T1 - 1:04
    20k bike 39:23 (30.5kph)
    T2 1:00
    5K run 27:49 (5:34 pace)

I vote smile I will have to test your painted toes running theory next time. That's a great perspective on the swim! Such variety in distance from the buoys.

Great job. Love the pictures, the bike is my fave. Anyone who takes on the bicycle sandwich and runs TWICE is awesome in my book.

AWESOME! Congrats on a great race.
I know it's late and my brain isn't working, but I was confused at first (why is she coming into T1 with shoes on and no swim cap and how did she take a picture of the swim...). Ok- came to my senses and realized that your title was DU (not tri). Duh!!!

Very nicely done. I love all the pics of you. You really look strong, fierce, and FAST!!! Way to go!!

Thanks everyone. Tri girl..you are funny! That sounds like me....I just recently bought Joe Friel's Training Bible. I was reading this one page, went to the next page..it didn't make sense. I spent 5 minutes flipping back and forth looking for some text that made sense. Then I looked at the page numbers...10 pages were missing from the book.
