    Eugene, OR

We can access its bike map.

And we don't have enough time to get out to Crater Lake since I need to fly out to Ontario thereafter to see my parents and other family, including a niece whom I haven't seen yet but she's already 2.5 yrs. old.

So highlights that you would recommend to bike around, sample restaurants, etc. over 2 days in Sept.?

I haven't done much riding around Eugene, just gone through one day of a week long bike tour. And I think one or two organized day rides a number of years ago. Very nice area for riding.

I found this link that might help at least a little.

Not to cause a ruckus amongst Portland enthusiasts for cycling, but am finding Eugene alot better if one has to choose an American city and convince them that a city can be designed to make it more cycling friendly and livable. Also on a scale, that alot more people living outside of big metro cities, can relate more easily and adapt a cycling-oriented lifestyle/use of local transportation.

N.B. I've visited and cycled in Portland twice, each trip several days long.
