    Lightbulb restoring copper rivets

If you'd like to remove the patina on those copper rivets, use ketchup!

Take a Q-Tip dipped in ketchup and rub it on the rivet until the color is restored.
Wipe the excess off with a slightly damp soft cloth and finish with the polishing cloth.
It takes less than a minute and the results are dramatic.

I used this technique to restore copper plates in printmaking.

I do this with my copper bottom pans. Spaghetti sauce works fine if you don't have ketchup.

There's a restaurant near me that has copper-topped tables. Every night they blob the tables and put wrinkled saran wrap over them. Every time you go in the tables have a slightly different pattern "etched" into them. It's very attractive. I love how it looks.

Knot, what an interesting way to decorate tables.
