RIP Bruce Rosar - Cycling Advocate and Educator

If you ride in NC you probably heard of or met Bruce. He was also active in LAB on a national level:

I had never met him that I recall, but I certainly knew the name when I heard the report on the news.

Here is some commentary from a few eye witnesses to the accident. Sounds like Bruce did make a all-too-human mistake:

This is such a loss to the cycling community. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Thanks for posting this, Emily. I'm so sorry to hear this news. I didn't know Bruce personally but I certainly had heard alot about him. The traffic in the Triangle is so bad. It's one reason that I decided not to move back there after my years in DC.

He was doing really good work and will be missed.

It is a tragic loss. I had admired Bruce's work from afar through the LCI community, and finally got to meet him a couple of weeks ago at the Smart Cycling education conference out in San Jose, CA. He was one of the cycling community's treasures, and a fine person.

    Ride in peace, Bruce...
